BCP Council are looking to populate the sites at the Bournemouth beach with innovative and stylish pop-up restaurants, a gym facility and beach sauna to serve both residents and visitors to the area.
These proposals are part of the wider Seafront Strategy which aims at enhancing the BCP Council seafront, for both, residents and tourists.
‘Disposal of Open Space’ Notice
There is a legal requirement for a local authority to advertise the disposal of land consisting or forming part of an open space. The Council is now advertising its intention to lease the sites and a copy of the Disposal notice is below. The Council will then consider any objections or representations received to the proposed disposal submitted by the date specified in the Disposal notice.
Please note that BCP Council would retain the freehold ownership of the land and would be the landlord under the proposed lease.
For an objection to the disposal to be properly considered it should specify reasons why the Council should not dispose of the open space land by granting a lease to a restaurant operator.

NOTICE is hereby given that Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council intends to dispose of the land at Undercliff Drive Promenade, Bournemouth, BH5 2AA shown hatched red on the plans below, which forms part of the Bournemouth beach open space, by granting new leases to enable temporary restaurant facilities, a beach gym facility and a beach sauna.
